dark clouds drift away
water drips from heavy leaves
sounds like autumn’s rhythm
backyard as ballroom
dancers in the evening sun

I stir my coffee
water glows golden
birds skim over the surface
riding the sunset

both perfectly calm
rain drops beat the path
