Birds With Attitude

hopping around and defend

the backyard rulers

busy road, fast cars

crown crane is keeping vigil

a companion lost

clouds like pink cotton

as autumn sun sets in town

starlings start to dance

winter rain recedes

bare branches against grey sky

drops reflect the sun
